What should I do? Package never arrived
I spent about $55 on something from a smaller internet shop. USPS tracking says it was delivered 11/13. I didn't receive the package.
I contacted the online store. They said "I am so sorry Angela, but I do have it clearly stated on my site before you choose your shipping method, That once it leaves my door I am no longer responsible for any losses or stolen packages. If you want to be covered choose to have signature required then you are insured. You did not select that option."
Now what? I don't want to waste $55. But I need this stuff. It's for the baby shower I'm hosting for my sister in 2 weeks.

Last time I had a missing package, they told me to contact the seller and have them handle it with the delivery service on their end. :-
Guess I'll call USPS and see if they have something else to say about it this time around...
Ugh, that does suck. We have had this happen to us since our mailbox is exposed and right off a busy street. That is why we have all of our pkgs delivered to DH's work since he does the shipping and receiving :-).
You contacted the seller so now I would contact USPS
I'd contact USPS. Tell them that the tracking information says it was delivered and you never got it. There is nothing for you to contact the seller about - the problem is on USPS's end.
I agree with pp's that USPS sucks and I'm not sure you'll get much help from them. I got zero resolution when my uncles sent me money for my wedding last year - one envelope never made it to my house, and the other arrived torn up with money missing but a card still there :-/ I only use UPS and FedEx for shipping now, or get insurance if I have to ship USPS. They are just terribly unreliable.

If you re-buy and then USPS finds your package, will you be able to return one set to the seller?
Or, send me an email about what you purchased...I'm throwing a baby shower for a friend in January and was considering an eco-theme.
When this happened to me it was delivered to the back door which we never use. Another time they hid it behind a bush so no one would steal it...well I couldn't even find it!
I'd call the post office and see if you can ask the mail carrier where they left it. If you still can't find it, start knocking on your neighbor's doors.

Ugh. This has happened to me three times now with USPS. Definitely contact USPS directly. You may have to go down to the station it came through. They've never been able to help me though. They don't even seem to have a customer service function set up. Ditto catching your mail carrier if you can.
I once had a retailer (Amazon, maybe? might have been Barnes & Noble or Borders, it was a book) send out a new one and not charge me. Now, that was a book, and I'm not sure how common that is, but it might be worth pushing a little more with the retailer.
Lastly, you can try your credit card company. Since the seller is also their customer, sometimes they will settle disputes and reverse the charges on your end. Chargeback or whatever it's called.
Anyway, good luck. Seems crappy that they're not willing to do anything for you.
I have no faith in the USPS. I have a "case" opened now, but I highly doubt I'll get it. Likely the package was stolen, and in that case, I'm up a creek.
The seller is a small internet company and already said they aren't responsible. I too have had larger companies (i.e, Amazon) take care of it no problem, but that's probably not going to happen here. I went back and she literally does have some big "important" text on her site about how she's not responsible for it after it leaves. So, it makes me wonder if she's had this happen before. ugh.
