DH just called and thinks he has the FLU! UGH
What should I get on the way home to make him feel better?
He asked for gatorade and chicken noodle soup. Medicine wise, is there anything that will help?

If it really is the flu he can go to the doc to get antiviral meds that will shorten the duration and lessen the symptoms. He would have to do that asap though, they won't give it if he's had symptoms for more than a couple days.
Otherwise, I like TheraFlu (the kind that you drink). It's not the greatest tasting stuff in the world but it's nice and soothing. And make sure you have Tylenol on hand for fever and body aches (but if you do get some TheraFlu check the ingredients before giving Tylenol also. TheraFlu might already have Tylenol in it- can't remember).

Whenever my DH gets sick he puts a capful of hydrogen peroxide in his ear and rests on his side for 15 minutes then repeats with the other ear. It almost always makes him feel immediately better. Check out www.earthclinic.com for some natural remedies for that sort of thing
* and home made chicken noodle soup is AWESOME for the flu and colds!
