What kind of stand do you have for a 32" TV?

We're going to buy one on Friday (that is, if we can get our hands on it!) and right now our scrawny 19" TV is in an entertainment center. It may or may not fit in there, I'm not sure.

Just looking for other ideas...

Re: What kind of stand do you have for a 32" TV?

  • Is it flat panel? Can you hang it? We have our upstairs 32" hanging on the wall. I never thought I'd like it, but I love having it up off the ground (and away from the kids!).

We had to buy a new one for downstairs when ours died a few months ago. We haven't hung that one though because we aren't sure what we want to do down there yet. We just use the cheap IKEA coffee table we had down there as a stand, and it actually works really well.

  • We have a flat panel, but not the kind you can hang.  Upstairs we have it on an electric fireplace that is also an entertainment center....it's just flat on top and not covered (if that makes sense).  Downstairs we have the TV on a buffet that has drawers/cabinets for our movies, DVD player, etc.

It is a flat panel, it's this one. I'm not sure if we could hang it up. That actually would free up our living room a lot more if we could. Good idea! We have a lot of movies though that we would have to find somewhere for... but that's the least of my worries.

ETA: The link didn't work very well. It's the 32" for $198

  • Our flat screen is on the wall, but I would check into Ikea.  We actually ahve a low cabinet that sets below our TV. I'm not finding the exact one we have, but here is the link to all their media stuff:

  • my husband works for a company that makes the wall mounts, so our TV and all our components are wall mounted :)

  • We have a similar TV and have it on an entertainment center from Target.  I doubt you could hang that one on the wall.  You don't need anything too big to rest it on since it's a flat panel.  On the Target website you can search entertainment centers by the size of your TV if that helps.

  • I think we paid half the amount for this TV stand, but I love it so much (mostly because it hides everything!).  We have a 32" on it right now, but plan to uprade to a bigger one in the next 6 months.

any flat panel tv can wall mounted. Not all flat screen TVs can, but if it's a true flat panel, it can be mounted.
