...I'm a big researcher, and I realize it's early. That's what bookmarking is for! haha
My overly happy baby girl!

YES! I still reference it for things I buy for him now.
lots of burp cloths
I have already planned to do things different with baby#2. I don't feel like I really used everything that I got for Xander. We will not use the cradle next time around, #2 will either sleep in the PNP or the crib to start with. To be honest, we don't even use our PNP now, not since we took it on vacation.
I do swear by the swing though, you all know that Xander spent many nights in that thing, to be honest I wish he still fit in it some nights.

Baby Bargains is a must-have. I just gave mine away last week -- finally let it go. Although, I probably should've photocopied the part about convertible carseats. I also used the list that's available on Consumer Reports, I think it's in the Babies blog.
The things I use/d A LOT are:
* Fisher Price swing that swings either back and forth or side to side
* My Brest Friend (bring it to the hospital w/ you if you plan to BF)
* Bouncer chair (a simple one from Target that vibrates; it was the best $25 I ever spent those early months)
* Mobile that activates with sound (SO crucial when he learned how to STTN)
* At least 2: SwaddleMe blankets (in case there's a midnight leak)
* At least 2: Ultimate Crib Sheets (although, I got a new one recently and I think they changed the design so the top sheet is a little looser and I don't like it -- but there are other sheet-savers with the same idea)
* Sleepers that zipper (crucial for midnight fumbling with the diaper for MH, who couldn't figure out the snaps while half asleep)
And Jacob's favorite books at this point are:
* Goodnight Moon
* Trucks, by Byron Barton
* Peek-a-who? by Nina Laden
* The Belly Button Book, by Sandra Boynton
YGM and I totally agree with what Rebecca wrote.

How could I forget? Thom reads Polar Bear and Panda Bear to Jacob every night. For some reason, we don't have Brown Bear, so I got it for him for Christmas.
I couldn't live without ANY of these items. I use them every.single.day.
