Looking forward to: pumpkin pie cheesecake.
My usual favorite: cranberry sauce

EHayes: Cran Apple stuffing? That sounds so good!
I can't pick one...
Top three (in no particular order):
Turkey
Dressing (stuffing?)
Broccoli and Rice Casserole
Looking forward to:
Sweet Potato Casserole
Squash Casserole
Um... Yeah, I like Thanksgiving food.
Sikes - its soo good, the recipe is acutally Cran Apple Sausage Stuffing (which is so freaking good), but I dont do the sausage anymore since I don't eat it.
I can get the rest of the measurements when I get home, but its 2C celery, onion, 1 bag breadcrumbs, 1 can whole cranberries, 2C apples chopped, apple juice (instead of stock), waterchesnuts, pecans, and sausage (the jimmy dean breakfast type, not italian) if you want the meat.
It's seriously, my fave dish in the world. I'll def be making two.... one inside for everyone else (can't eat, could have bacteria) and one in a casserole FOR ME!

Yes! Definitely get the rest of the measurements. I don't like nuts of any sort, but I'm sure I can make it without the nuts.
ETA: I also want to hear how you tell your family your news. I am a sucker for those kind of things!
My usual favorites are also the things that I am most looking forward to. They're just that delicious.
They are sweet potato casserole and my aunt's noodles.
The recipe has a ton of texture - hence the pecans. The waterchestnuts aren't really chestnuts but those clear crunchy things you find in chinese food... they don't really have any taste, but have more crunch than the apples, since the apples kind of breakdown while baking. I've made it with and w/o them... they don't offer anything other than the crunch.
I just finished the "notes" to go w/ the gifts. I'm going to take pics when I get home bc eventually I'll blog the story. So I'll see if I can post them later.
I bought my mom and MIL both Pandora bracelets with this charm.
July's birth stone is a "ruby", but apparently they don't really mine for rubies anymore and well, getting something with real rubies would prob be out of my price range. I like the idea of the Pandora bracelet bc now we can add charms at birthdays, mothers day, etc as gifts "from the baby".
I made little notes written from the baby " Dear Mimi (my mom), Please wear this 'ruby' heart charm bracelet and always think of me, your 1st grandchild!
Baby C due 7.9.11"
We are going to have them open "their early xmas present" before we eat dinner....
