I need to tie DH up in bed

...because I keep getting socked in my sleep! Last night I got a finger in the eye when I rolled over (and I do a pop and roll, so there was some force to it). A few other times I've gotten an elbow in the face. This is only a recent thing that's started happening! WTF!

Re: I need to tie DH up in bed

  • Totally thought this was going somewhere dirty.

Haha me to! My HH does the same thing sometimes. I've gotten an elbow to the face before too.

  • Matt's the one who takes most of the unconscious nocturnal abuse in our house.

And I definitely thought you were needing to tie him up for other reasons.

  • I thought that this post was going to be different too. Ed slept like that for about a week thank god that stopped. I was walking around with bruses for about a month. I hope your DH stops soon.

This made me lol! Haha! I get woke up in the middle of the night by HH grabbing my butt in his sleep about once a week. He says he never remembers doing it lol

DH was "sleep-petting" me elsewhere a week or so ago! lol

  • DH is like that every so often. He will just whack me in the head with his arms. His mouth does need to be tied up because he snores like crazy. I have gotten use to and am better at sleeping, but every so often he will get loud and wake me up and I have to kick him hard for him to stop.

  • Ben only snores if he is laying on his back. If he starts snorning I just wake him up and tell him to roll over lol. I can't sleep when he snores.

  • We've tried everything as far as waking him up, kicking him, pushing him over to his side, the CPAP machine and breathe right strips. I think I will tell him to go back to the breathe right strips. Usually I can sleep right through it, I just have to go to bed and fall asleep way before him. If I can't get him to stop snoring I go the guest room or living room. Which is fine...somtimes....since it is much more comfy then our bed.

  • That sucks! My dad is a LOUD snorer. You can hear him through the floor in my parent's house and it's not that old of a house (built in the 80s I think). Whenever we use to travel and we'd all be in the same room as him my brother and I scream at him to stop snoring. "Daaaad! Ddddaaadddd!!! DDDDAAAAADDDD!!!" "wh..what?" "You're snoring." It also sucks watching TV with him when he falls asleep! I don't know how my mom can stand it.

  • He partially gets it from his dad and his dad is so bad that his parents have to sleep in separate rooms. I just hope we don't have to come to that conclusion in order for us to just better nights of rest.

Yep, it sucks when we are watching TV and  he falls asleep because then I have to try to turn up the volume without waking him up or try to read lips.

My dad is a horrible snorer to. My mom sleeps on the couch most of the time. She has fibromyalga (sp?) though and most of the time the couch is more comfortable for her.

lol he didn't even remember the next day. I said "sorry, I was asleep/so tired I wasn't responding." He said he was dreaming, and didn't realize he was actually touching me! Too funny!

  • This happens to me every night.  I always wake up to an elbow in the face, a butt poking my stomach, or his pillow practically smothering me.  Plus, he is such an aggressive sleeper that when he moves or shifts, he literally throws his whole body - lovely!

When he smothers me, I always peek over to all the extra wasted space on his side of the bed - generally refer to it as precious real estate....

     GL!
