I'm having people over for the morning, and it's the first time I'm having anyone over for a holiday. I have found out while planning this that, like my mother, I completely spaz out when I have company coming. This is the menu I have planned, does it sound like I've got enough options?
Food: Blue & Cranberry muffins, hashbrowns, sausage and mushroom strata, bacon, and fruit
Drinks: The usual fruit juices, coffee, tea, and milk, along with the stuff to make Bloody Marys, mimosas, and Kaluha and Bailey's for coffee
There's only going to be eight of us, but does this sound ok?
Re: Thanksgiving breakfast menu
Sounds delish!
If you're sure everyone likes sausage and mushrooms, I think the strata will be great for your egg dish. I personally hate sausage with a passion and won't eat anything that it has "contaminated"
. If you're unsure whether everyone likes the ingredients in the strata maybe you could just do some basic scrambled eggs as well??
I agree. I'm not a fan of sausage either. If you're looking for something else that's REALLY easy, inexpensive, and that you can make the night before...
I made this overnight french toast a couple weeks ago. It was SO good and literally takes 5 minutes to prepare the night before. All you have to do is bake it in the morning before breakfast.

*Sorry, I realize you didn't ask for other things but this was too good not to share with you.
It looks like you've hit all the breakfast food groups, bread, eggs, meat, and they all sound really good! Last time I hosted breakfast, I waaaay over planned it and was going crazy by the time people got there, so I say simple is a good way to go. If you add anything else, would make sure it's a make ahead item like the french toast thing so you don't have to worry about anything except throwing it in the oven.
Oh... I almost forgot the 4th breakfast food group... mimosa!
