Wow Credit Card Weirdness!!!! LOL
So, I am planning on buying a Canon Rebel XS for myself, well if I buy it at Target and use my Target Visa I get 5% off, plus they sent me a coupon for an addt'l 10% off on top of that. good deal!!!
I don't have the physical card anymore because I don't use it. I just logged into my account to request one and they lowered my credit line from get this $6,000 to $200!!!
WTF??
I am assuming they did this because of major inactivity. I used the card one time to buy something so I could get the discount, several years ago.
I suppose this is part of the new credit card laws or something.
Anyways, I'm bummed now. Oh well. I might call later and see if they will raise the limit for me.

The same thing happened with me at meijer. I got the card b/c I had a coupon and a crazy deal and something else. I PIF when I got the bill and never used the card again. Then I got a letter in the mail saying they reduced my credit line from $3K to $150. I called and told the guy if that is how they wanted to be they could close the account b/c I will never use it again.
Yeah, that's somewhat typical. And sometimes it's a good thing, b/c if it's a card you never use and the # happens to get stolen somehow, then the thief shouldn't be able to charge a ton of stuff to it before you even know what's going on, ya know?
I'm sure they'll bump the limit back up if you call though.
