S/O Christmas ornaments

Several of us mentioned getting special ornaments this year for Christmas. I've been looking at some for awhile and think I have some I like but don't know how cheesy they are.

I was thinking about ordering one for our engagement so we had one. I was thinking of one similar to this one:

The elephants will be the same size and there will be a heart in the front with engaged and the date. (DH and I have an ongoing thing with elephants so that is why the elephants)

and this one for the wedding since we were married on the beach:

What do you ladies think? to cheesy?

Re: S/O Christmas ornaments

  • I think they are both super cute.

    Love the elephants.

  • I love the beach scene one!  Super cute.  The elephants are a little cheesey for me, but since they have sentimental meaning, I think it's a great choice.

  • I think the elephants are adorable and the sentiment behind it makes it perfect for you two. I think the wedding one is a little cheesy but it works since you got married on the beach.
  • I love the beach one.

As long as the elephants would be the same size, I guess it would be fine.  My biggest problem is the fact that it's a "mother and baby" elephants and that seems a little strange to me.  Is there any way to have them both gray or are you thinking the blue and pink as well?

Thanks ladies. They are a bit cheesy, but the both seem to work. Everything else I've seen has seemed worse. It's like cheesiness and ornaments go together!

The elephant mom and baby thing weirded me out too. They will be both the same size and I didn't think about the same color but that's a good idea.  I am getting it from etsy and the seller is totally willing to be flexible so I'm sure it'll be ok.
