Possible Spoilers - Harry Potter 7 Part 1
Was anyone else as disappointed as I was?? Boxer Mommy loved it and cried like a baby but I just sat there like this is it? Dont get me wrong I liked it simply b.c I am a Harry fan. But that WOW, OMG, THAT WAS AH-MAZING factor was not there for me. Not at all like the prior HP movies. They changed some things that I did not agree with and well simply put I was bored. Esp the woods scene in which Hermoine and Harry were without Ron. BOR-RING!!!! Of course that part stayed true to the book b.c I was bored during that time as well.
::ducking from the daggers flying over my head::

Me Squeshia.
Re: Possible Spoilers - Harry Potter 7 Part 1
Becky didn't mean to kil...only maim or seriously injure...
I cried in the opening credits (when Hermoine cleared her parents memory) and at the end when Dobby died.
I liked the movie -but I agree it didn't have the WOW factor. I think they spent too much time on stupid stuff (Harry & Hermoine dancing) and not enough time on actual plot line. I hated how much stuff was rushed through. IE The Ministry of Magic. They decided to go there, and BAM they were there. No planning. I enjoyed all the planning that went into their plans.
I wasn't bored - I could have sat through another 3 hours if they had made one huge movie! I hope the last part is amazing!
HA HA HA!
I agree Becki - there was no planning in anything they did. Like you said BAM they were there.
And I think they did a lot of that kind of skipping in assuming that everyone has read the books. Everyone hasnt read the books. I feel like if you had not read them you would be totally lost.
Totally this. You would have to have been really quick to see Harry's visions and piece them together. The whole thing about Voldemort hunting down the wand was a side story - when it is really so important! And they didn't even mention the invisibility cloak as part of the deathly hallows.
They mentioned the cloak as part of the story of the Three Brothers, but Harry didnt have the cloak on him like he did in the book. That I thought was weird.
I was thinking that they didn't mention that Harry actually had THAT cloak, and why his was so unique.
I think it is hard to take a book and break it into two. They could not put too much into this story because they need to save stuff for part 2.
I suppose you were just suppose to know that Harry's cloak was the one in the story, since by this point you should know he has one.
Overall though DH and I liked it.
