need handy kitchen tips
on removing hypothetical thick rubbermaid containers that have entirely melted onto a burner. Ideally removing it so completely that the hypothetical company that will may or may not be arriving shortly will not have any idea.

I've melted a plastic bag on the coils in our current rental. I pulled the coil out, and started by trying to scape off as much of the burnt plastic with a nylon scraper. I then used a blue scrubbie (not the green ones, the greens ones scratch, I don't know what's different about the blue, but they don't scratch) and gave it a gentle scrub down with a baking soda/water paste and then rinse with a clean wash cloth. Make sure you don't submerge the plugs.
