**sikes & recipe lovers** Cran Apple Stuffing
I call this the "Hayes Family" Recipe since I've never met anyone else who makes it like this... but I'm sure it's not that unusual..
1lb sausage (I used to use the jimmy dean breakfast sausage in the log, not italian sausage)
1 1/2 C onion (chopped)
2 C celery (chopped)
2 eggs
1 can whole berry cranberries
1-2 C apple juice
1 C apple bits
1/2 C water chestnuts (sliced)
I bag breadcrumbs
pecans (optional)
Brown sausage, drain. Add onion, celery, breadcrumbs, stir together. Add eggs, cranberries, apples, water chestnuts, juice and pecans. Stir together and either use to stuff the turkey or bake in a casserole as a side.
