Pumpkin is gross. His pal butternut, too!
I just baked a bunch of pumpkins (yes, the pie kind) and yak. I don't like the smell, the taste, the texture. Blarch.
I do love pumpkin seeds though.
ETA Oh and yams! Don't go thinking you're getting off easy. You're gross too!

Guess who?
Re: Unpopular opinion
It sure seems that way, doesn't it! Well I love carrots and orange bell peppers and....um....hrm...baked potatoes with cheddar cheese melted on top?
Green vegetables are clearly superior.
I love all vegetables and hate most fruit.
And I HATE capers. I hate it when I'm reading a lovely description of a dish at a restaurant, I'm almost sold on it and then see "capers." BLECH.
Acorn Squash stuffed with Autumn Fruit Compote
Classic Cranberry Sauce
Butternut Squash and Spinach Casserole
Green Bean Casserole
Cous Cous Salad with Butternut Squash and Cranberries
Mashed Sweet Potatoes
Cranberry Applesauce
Someone just posted this list of side dishes on What's Cooking. I would stand at the buffet and cry.
Man, what is the sweet potato obsession over there? What about the lowly russett? Doesn't anyone eat regular white mashed potatoes anymore?
OH! And I love rutabagas. They're orange. And they look down at squash.
I love pumpkin, butternut squash, yams, sweet potatoes, the whole bunch of them. Yum.
MORE FOR ME!
