S/O dinner tonight

We're having fettucine alfredo (well linguine alfredo because I just realized I picked up linguine instead of fettucine Tongue Tied).  I'm just using a jarred sauce but I have some chicken breasts I want to serve also.  Any suggestions on how to cook them?  Fettucine alfredo is not something I would order at a restaurant but I think I remember it comes with chicken lots of times, I'm just not sure if there's a best way to cook it.

 Thanks for any suggestions!

  • Mmm, sounds yummy!

I would marinade them in some Italian dressing for a half hour then cook in a pan with a little olive oil to get that seared crust on the outside.

Or, you could saute them with some white wine, lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil.  I like the lemon flavor with cream sauces, but you can adjust it if you don't want the lemon too strong, or leave it out completely.

I think I'll try the lemon saute.  That sounds so good.  Thanks for the suggestion!
