Favorite Thanksgiving memory?
The first Thanksgiving I spent with my aunt, before she married my uncle. It was one of the first times I'd met her, and we went to her apartment in Cincinnati. It was really awesome experiencing her version of Thanksgiving, and having her share her family's traditions with my family - plus she had my sister and I really involved in the kitchen and it was the best food we'd had for T-giving up to that point!

Favorite Thanksgiving memory? Thanksgiving my junior year of high school. It was the last one where all of my extended family was in town. Grandma had to rent extra tables to fit us all.

Family member you're not looking forward to seeing? nobody really; I like to handle family in small doses.
Favorite Thanksgiving memory? Probably when I couldn't afford to go home one long weekend while in college, I went to an aunt and uncle's house for turkey day since they lived 40 minutes from me. When I was younger, my mom, her then BF, my sis and I helped out at a church serving meals to those less fortunate.
Will you be shopping on Black Friday? Nope, James and I are hitting up Tahoe instead

Family member you're not looking forward to seeing? MIL...but recently she's been nicer. But I think we might actually avoid seeing her this year.Favorite Thanksgiving memory? There are so many! But I think it was one year at my grandparents who had traditionally always hosted but they were too old to cook that year. My sister and I cooked the whole dinner, barbequed turkey and all and had a blast.

I'm crazy but not that crazy. That is the one place I stay AWAY from on BF.
I just KNOW I'm going to forget it's BF and go to walmart to get some random thing I need, like a new soap dispenser for the kitchen. I'll get there, see the insanity and go home.
Maybe I'll just get that soap dispenser tonight. I threw out the old one and I keep going to get soap from empty space. It's ridiculously annoying.

Embarassing family member? N/A, we don't do the big get-togethers anymore. Usually it's Mom, brother, DH, his parents and I
Favorite Thanksgiving memory? Probably the one where we decided not to do the big get together (circa '89). Mom told a white lie to get out of it and we had our own w/ mom & brother (and the nuppy) and started our own traditions. Which included making a small dish for the nuppy w/ turkey, stuffing, potatoes and cranberry (like one bite of each). Was so cute, still have the pics.
Will you be shopping on Black Friday? Haven't decided! ON at midnight, then Kohl's at 3. That's a giant gap. Also trying to rope in some help (one shops, one stands in line) and make a game plan. Last year was kick asss, I went to one store per hour starting at 3, knew EXACTLY what I was getting and was all done by 7am.
That is exactly what I'm doing! Then I'll be heading over to Target.
Way late on this, but Brew & Deb, we really need to get together for a Black Friday shopping marathon. I can't ever convince anyone to go along with the one person shops, one person stands in line logic.
My mom used to go with me but she really didn't understand that you needed a game plan to efficiently shop! H isn't much better since he doesn't start to function until somewhere around 9 AM.
