kaesha - re: your purple gown
I'm so jealous that you actually get to wear a gown. I only get a flimsy sheet of paper. At least it's bigger than the tiny piece of paper they gave me to cover with last time =( But, the exam wasn't painful like last time which is fantastic! However, I'm horrifed that I know more about TTC from reading TCOTF than my MD does. I have no words for the things she told me today.

Re: kaesha - re: your purple gown
Oh ugh, paper. =( After sitting around in it for about 10 minutes waiting, I started thinking that it was actually pretty soft and comfortable.
I think I was totally in opposite mode of you in terms of the exam and pain - great last time, totally weird feeling this time. During the internal I felt my throat go all weird - like someone was poking it with the swab!
Isn't it crazy what MDs will tell you? Did you correct yours?

Oh, I'm sorry your exam wasn't better. I think it's ridiculous that my office doesn't do gowns. A paper sheet seems so degrading.
I decided to keep my mouth shut with my MD. The issue I wanted to address was the fact that since I've been charting, my luteal phase has only been about 8 days each cycle. This is obviously an issue for when we TTC. Her response to me was "no, it's always 14 days. Your period comes 14 days after you ovulate."
Since we are not TTC yet, I'll keep charting and then figure out what to do if it isn't lengthening and I'm not getting a BFP. I kinda want to give her TCOYF as an anonymous Christmas gift.
She also decided that my knee and hip pain are overuse injuries. This is without any kind of range of motion testing or anything at all.
I was pretty shocked at that whole appointment.
This is really appalling. Do you see a PCP or a GYN for your exam?
Holy smokes. That's ridiculous. I mean, the whole ovulating within a window (rather than an exact date) was something we learned in high school biology. Are you going to find a new doctor?

mrs sikes - I see my PCP. In Canada, you don't go to a gyn unless referred
kaesha - I'm not even going to bother trying to find someone new. Windsor is highly underserviced so I'm lucky to have a PCP at all.
I'll just let it go for now but if my charts are still wonky in Jan or Feb, I'm going to go back and insist on getting on the waiting list for a gyn.
Thanks for the support and advice, ladies.
I haven't tried B6 yet but but will likely after this cycle is over. I'm only temping, no CM, and I'll see what my LP is. I'm definitely going to stay on top of it! My friends sister is in her OB/GYN residency, I wish she was done already and I would make sure she took care of me.
