Ugh. Need help picking a present.
Jeff is supposed to be doing this, but I like to have my shopping done early so I'm taking over. I'm trying to figure out a gift to get for my BIL's girlfriend. She's around my age, I guess (26) and she's from Brazil, working here as a nanny. Since she doesn't have her own place, I don't want to get her 'stuff'. But I don't like buying people clothes if I don't feel 100% confident that they'll like them.
I've been browsing endless websites trying to come up with something, but I'm stumped. Any ideas?

Lotions, shower gels and splashes are always good too. Bath and Body is a good one because if she doesn't like the scent she can always exchange it for one she likes more.
I like to give things that can be used up or eaten!
This is exactly what I recommended to Jeff, but he said no because his brother got us a restaurant GC last year.
I need to just let it go and let him worry about it, but it's driving me crazy.
so true
We were thinking $50, and I convinced Jeff to do a BBB GC since they're moving in together at some point (it was supposed to be this month, but it's being postponed, in case anyone remembers my previous post about gifts for them!). I thought about jewelry but she doesn't usually wear anything but gold hoops, and since I'm the same way (with silver) and I generally hate the jewelry I get as a gift, I figured I'd avoid that.
Kind of a sidenote: Jeff's aunt does Lia Sophia, and I know some of it is pretty (Brew has posted some cute stuff) but what she gets me is some of the most fug jewelry I've ever seen. I feel bad because I know it's not cheap, and I can't return it, I don't think.
