Thoughts???

I'm bored sitting at my MIL house so I've been parusing online...and finally was checking out Craigs List.

Found this dining room set for $200. Looks pretty good to me. It looks like I can re-upholster the chair seats easy enough and it looks in good condition. We currently have no formal dining room table and when we have more than 2 guests over to eat we have to sit on the couch, some outside on our lawn chairs and what not.

Thoughts??

  • Yes I like it.

  • Go for it!

I'm with you on needing a dining set. We had 3 people over yesterday and had to sit around a card table because the two "real tables" we have only seat 2 people each. I'm always scoping out the furniture when we go to thrift stores, etc., but haven't found one that Matt likes enough to buy yet.

  • Love it!! What a great deal!!

  • Looks good to me.  I'd check it out in person to make sure it isn't scratched, etc, but I'd say go for it!

  • The table itself looks pretty similar to the one that is on my Christmas wish list (it's the ONLY thing on my wish list, I am desperate for a proper dining room table).  So I'd say go for it!

PLUS it also comes with the swanky plate decoration and bowl with balls.  bahaha

For real though, we paid $175 for our dinette set (kitchen table and chairs) and I was sooooo pumped at what a good deal that was!  You can't get much in the way of furniture for $200, and as long as it is solid, it looks like a pretty classic shape.  You can always throw a table cloth over it too, so it's a win win!

  • I say go for it too!  I'm with Ash... see if the seller will let you come and take a look at it before you decide to purchase.  But it looks good to me and you REALLY can't beat $200!

  • I would say go for it. Our Ikea table was about $150 and the chairs were each about $45 so this is a great deal! Looks like it came from somewhere nicer.
  • I emailed the poster but haven't heard back. Hopefully we can go look at it/buy it tomorrow!
