Home from Aruba

We got home late Wednesday night and then enjoyed time with family on Thanksgiving.  Yesterday and today have been laundry/lazy days :)  We had a blast in Aruba!  The hotel upgraded us to a Honeymoon Suite.... it was wonderful!  The first night we ate dinner on the beach as the sun set... so romantic!  The first day we hung out on the beach nearly the whole day.  The second day it rained but we made a spa day out of it!  The third day we rented a car and explored the island.  We rented snorkel gear and headed out to the beaches where all of the tour boats were anchored :)  The fish were fabulous!  They kept surrounding us in order to keep the pelicans away.  That night we drove to a restaurant on the north side of the island and had another romantic dinner on the beach.  The last day we went on a jeep tour.  DH got to drive a landrover up and down rocky cliffs.... my knuckles are still white!  All in all the trip was a great way to unwind and get away from the eastern coast cold weather!  If you are thinking about Aruba... go but don't stay more than 5 or 6 days... the Island is small and can be explored in about two days.  We have decided to go to an Island each year in the Caribbean!  We are definitely on a diet as both of us have gained at least 10lbs since the wedding!  We started yesterday... so far we are doing well!  Anyways... I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving!
