what are you getting DH for Christmas?

I don't really want to ask Rusty because then he will know what he's getting and because I know he will just spit out video games that he wants. I refuse to buy him nothing but games. So what do you buy a guy who has everything/doesn't really NEED anything? My brain hurts from thinking.

  • No clue. I'm in the same boat :(. Except I've asked b/c what I could get him (camera stuff) is very specific but he keeps saying he doesn't know yet. GRR.

  • DH and I did limits this year for the first time ($100 on gifts - not including any shipping costs -- and $100 on stocking stuffers). It made it easier, for sure.. I decided I'd try to get him about 4 things around $25 each.  i got ski boot warmers, a golf shoe brush lawn ornament thingy for cleaning off his shoes before coming inside (he currently goes to use a neighbor's first!), a couple of tool/fixit kinds of things, and a shirt.
  • I am pretty lost as well but DH helped a bit the other day when he said he would like some house slippers out oft he blue. He never wears slippers (always these flip flops that you can wear socks with) so I was surprised but now it sits on his list all by it's lonesome
  • Drew and I went to Sears the other day and he showed me a bunch of tools that he wants/needs for work.  I'll probably go back and pick them up.  I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to surprise him with a dog.  If I'm pregnant, I will for sure.  If not, I might wait until his birthday.

  • I decided on a Kindle for DH.  He reads so much I know he will love it.  But this is the first year I've been able to easily pick a gift in a long time.
  • DH and I aren't doing gifts.  We figured that with all the work and things we've bought to do the house projects that it's easier to buy the tools he'll need/want then.

We are doing stockings, but not much for those, keeping it all under $50.  I bought him a sweater on super sale with a coupon and a knife set he was eyeing. That's it.

We just got a tile saw and his favorite tool purchase was last year's anniversary present which was an air compressor with 2 gun kit.  I think HD has the same one this year, but with a stapler too, although DH says you really don't need that gun.

  • Since it's the last year it's just us two.. and cause we're crazy... Were both spoiling the crap out of eachother.

I got him a bose surround sound system for his movie room for his birthday, its the 22nd. its not a huge system, just a two speaker, but still fantastic quality.

He's getting new running shoes, as he does every christmas, toy story trilogy on bluray, "the pacific" on bluray, a few video games (golden eye for wii, call of duty for xbox, and probably one more) His old desert army boots died a few years ago, so I've been in cahoots with his old army buddy and I bought him another pair by the same company. Same exact shoe, except I got it with a steel toe, cause I thought that'd be badass. Stocking stuffers.... buffalo and deer jerky, a baby manual (its written like a instruction manual for tools of something) its soo funny. He'll love it, also a baby diaper changing apron, equipped with extra nipples and a mask quite hilarious.

    My overly happy baby girl!

  • I bought him the garment bag and carryon that match the Samsonite luggage set I bought last year. I got him a couple shirts. I am debating on these Timberland slip on boots or new Birkenstocks. That might be it since the luggage was kind of expensive.
