I went BF shopping with the crazies for the first time ever.
We went to Toys R Us Thursday night. They opened at 10 and we got there about 9:45. The line was wrapped around the building and we thought there is no way they'd have what we wanted by the time we got in. My brother and SIL wussed out and left. DH and I stayed. We were in the store in 30 minutes. We found everything we were there for and more. The bad part was checking out. 2 freaking hours!!!
Then we came home and went to bed. We went out on Friday around 10 because nothing else we needed was a good enough deal to be up early for. So we made our list of 3 stores and got everything we needed.
DH scored a 55'' T.V. You must understand we were watching tv on a 27'' in our living room this whole time. Now, it's like a freaking movie theater. Internet and everything on it - it might even make dinner ![]()
So, with the exception of my mom's gift I am completely done shopping. I know what we are getting her but I'm holding out for Cyber Monday deals now ![]()
And in case anyone wanted to know - I bought gifts for 5 children and 5 adults for $150 because I'm that good ![]()

You are a shopping MASTER!
I wish I was done with my shopping, but I'm getting there, slowly.
The Sand in My Snow Boots
Technically I don't live in a "big" city - I'm on the outskirts in the country. However, that's not true - it's just what people say. I mean Super Target is literally across the street from me neighborhood - that's not very country.
With that said - I'm within driving distance of many large city shopping areas! What I want to know is why there aren't more Toys R Us' around??? The 2 closest are 30 minutes away in opposite directions. I think that's partially why it was so insane.
Meghann - I've been researching BF ad's for over a month. I was determined to make the most of my money and get good not cheap gifts this year

We bought groceries this morning. There were tons of people there - way more than a normal Saturday morning. We didn't really have to deal with them while we were in the food section, just getting to the food section and checking out. Why can't we have a grocery store that only sells groceries so we don't have to fight mobs of Christmas shoppers? I just wanted to buy some food.
But, wow, gifts for 10 people for $150 is AWESOME!
