So excited for that! Yes, I love my job, but we have just been so extremely busy, I've been putting in very long days and some time on weekends, so I'm looking forward to this!
Each day over the next four days should be quite restful and relatively stress-free: dinner at DH's aunt's tomorrow. Which means we'll be in and out in 2 hours or less.
Friday I never have nor do I ever plan to participate in Black Friday shopping. I don't understand the point of fighting those kind of crowds and getting out of bed that early to save money. Just don't get it. Only thing we're doing Friday is watching the Iron Bowl (although I've developed a craving for Pizza Papalis or however it's spell since seeing Ginos East on Man vs. Food earlier this evening).
Saturday - the game...just have no idea what we'll do or where we'll go to watch it.
And Sunday...we both have football to watch (Sara...did you see that we do get a 4 o'clock game this season?) but my mom also mentioned having all of us kids over for dinner since Dad will be out of town for his annual deer hunting extravaganza. Apparently he asked what they were doing for Thanskgiving and she told him nothing. She told him tht until she is allowed to have all of her children (my H included) over, she will not host any holiday meals. You go Mom!
Re: 4 days of rest!
And it's about over WAY too soon!
I have to go to sleep in a few hours which basically means my weekend is over. Boooo! Always ends too fast. It was a nice one for us too. And much needed!
We did the Thanksgiving thing on Thursday with both sides and it was pretty nice. It was nice to see everyone, and nice to get some good food. Thursday night DH did the Black Friday thing on the internet and scored me and his dad both a new MP3 player with free shipping that eventually sold out. (Well - I paid for one and he paid for the other - so I guess we both scored) But it was just over $30 to the door and looked very similiar to an Apple Ipod that is usually over $100! He'd read the reviews on it and didn't see very much negative about it. I've been wanting an ipod for such a long time. This is the next best thing I think.
If we ever do any Black Friday shopping - that's the way we'll do it. Over the internet. No going out - no fighting crowds - no fighting parking - no cold weather. Just shopping from our nice cozy comfy home. Done!
