Q about fridges built into cabinetry

My brother and his wife are getting a new house and it's beyond swank....they're almost embarrassed.  Their STOVE is worth more than both their cars combined! lol  In the swankess, the fridge is behind a wood cabinet, and my SIL is sad because she loves having magnets, kid art, etc.

I figured my nesties would be able to help me out!  Is there something she could do or more specifically something *I* could buy that she may not know exists so she could still put stuff on the "fridge?" Or, where the fridge is hidden at least...on the wood?

Looking for Xmas gifts.  I am going to get her a VERY cool stamper for their new address (she's very artistic and these are super fun) so I'm just looking for another house type thing.

Re: Q about fridges built into cabinetry

  • You can buy magnetic paint.  Perhaps they'd want to paint a portion of a wall instead of the wood front of the fridge, just for resale, etc.  Or you could just buy them a magnetic board to hang on the wall.  Etsy has a lot of really cute magnetic chalkboards in unique frames.  One seller example: http://www.etsy.com/people/ChalkboardOriginals?ref=ls_profile
  • love that idea!  THANKS =)  That way it stays artsy and fitting with their cabinetry for resale, but she can have magnets.  :)

I would also recommend this on this that is nice is you can paint over the magnetic paint so a wall/door will look like a "normal" wall/door but really it will be magnetic
