POST YOUR BLACK FRIDAY DEALS!
H went to Lowe's and got my dad a Dewalt radio he'd wanted (Normally $160, but on sale for $79) and got himself a four tool set that is normal almost $500 but was on sale for $279. He said he had to fight this guy who loaded them up in his shopping cart for the last two sitting on the shelf!
Did you get anything good? Plan on venturing out more today?
Re: POST YOUR BLACK FRIDAY DEALS!
We got onion burgers at Sid's Diner, plus sides and drinks for $16. I consider that a steal
Then we went to Pender's so I could find a holiday sax quartet for my students. That's it.
Honestly, I avoid Black Friday. But, it was a productive day.
I usually avoid Black Friday shopping, but sometimes I'll go in the afternoon. However, DH and I went to Best Buy this afternoon and bought a new wireless printer for $90, normally $160. Plus I had a $20 rewards certificate to use, so we ended up getting it for $70.
DH also picked out a video game, usually $40 but on clearance for $20, which we didn't know until we checked out!
my bookshelf!
Bloggy
we didn't get up super early for any of the really crazy business, but we did get some shelves for the garage that were like 1/2 off and H got some kind of a racing car jack thing that he said was a good deal. We also got a few movies and we each got new shoes.
We also got a few shirts for the kids and some jeans for me since I am down to one pair that fits.
I didn't venture out except to eat dinner with my best friend. I refused to hit the mall or stores today - but I did do shopping online.
Got six DVDs for less than $20 [Lord of the Rings trilogy for $1.99 each, This Christmas for $3.99, Twilight for $5.99 and The Hangover for $3.99] and the new Lil Wayne CD for H for $5.99 on Amazon. Probably saved a good $150 there. Got a new pair of flats for $9 at Payless [originally $20], and saved $15 at Walgreens on some random stuff there. Also got H and JJ Kevin Durant jerseys [20% off and free shipping], so now, we all have KD jerseys.
I think that's all I got today...may go to Old Navy online and see if they have anything left in my size, but I think I'm pretty much done.
Dude, take the shark back. If its the same shark I have, I will give it to you. I have had it a year and have used it once. Seriously.
I went to Lowe's for Stainless Steel appliance cleaner - does that count as Black Friday shopping?
I would LOVE to have a free Shark, but I already opened and used the one I bought, so I can't take it back. (It worked wonders in finally destreaking our laminate flooring after all of the stuff I've tried to clean it with failed to dry without streaks.) Thanks for the offer, though! I bet there'd be somebody else on the board who'd love to take you up on it.
Man, I totally would, if you're just itchin' to give the thing away.
Its a deal - next time you are down this way, give me a call and you can pick it up (or I can take it to your parents).
YAY! I just told this to DH and he got all excited too! I'll likely know at least a few days before I'm in Norman next, so I'll let you know as soon as I know - for sure I'll be going there several times next month, anyway. If you get tired of the thing getting in your way before then, let me know and I'll be happy to tell you my parents' address. Thanks so much!!!
