Not much going on here - 28 weeks!!!! Kennedy's nursery is DONE. I'm going to try to figure out how to post pics here (anyone with a Mac want to help me out?) I'm feeling pretty good aside from the back and hip pain, and I think I'm still only a pound or two over my pre-pregnancy weight. I've got an appointment this week so I'll know for sure.
I can't believe I'm in the 3rd tri! Holy Sh!t! We still haven't chosen a name and we still have so much cleaning to do. We cleaned out some stuff when we were getting ready for Thanksgiving but we still have a long way to go. We are putting the nursery in our office and moving the desk into the guest room. We are moving the dresser in the guest room into our room to make room for the desk. We need a bigger house!
I think we finally found a crib that we mostly like (the ones we love are only available in dark wood), so we will get that by mid-December. My parents said they'd buy the crib for us, so we will just buy the dresser set that goes with it. I am so excited because my mom and sister are coming Dec 10th-13th!
I have my monthly check up on Wednesday. My hemoglobin is 10.9 (down from 13.1) so I am going to ask if I might need more iron or something. I am exhausted all the time! Yes, I KNOW that I am pregnant, and that once the baby comes I will never get any sleep anyway. But I am usually borderline anemic as it is and I don't want my hemoglobin to drop much more. Why not give my body the full chance to be ready for the arrival of our LO?
It's so weird to think that soon I'll have to start planning my maternity leave at work! We have to make out our next schedule 2 months in advance, so soon I'll be filling in FMLA on mine! YAY!!!
Little Lila has been getting extremely active lately. She has been turning sideways and kicking something that does not feel good, at all... everytime she does it I jump and its mostly when I am sleeping.
We received our "2nd" crib (the new white, girly one) on Friday. FedEx left it outside, out from under our awning...in the RAIN. I was not happy at all. Luckily, Graco had it surrounded in thick Styrofoam and the water logged box was not able to touch the wood parts. We got everything out of the box, and several pieces were damaged
To top it off, MH keeps b*tching that he hates this crib and just wants to use the first one we got (in espresso). I love this one, but I have to admit... not as much as the espresso. Its just the espresso doesn't match ANYTHING we have bought for her room...and it definitely won't go with the purple walls. I don't know what to do. I guess we will decide when the new crib arrives on Thursday.

Mine came back low when they checked mine 2 weeks ago. She said it was really borderline (I didn't ask what the #), but that as my blood volume increased in the third trimester, it would probably drop further. Instead of taking regular iron supplements she suggested Blood Builder (by Mega Food). The side effects are much less than a regular iron supplement. I've been taking it for about a week and a half now and have already noticed that I feel better. I got them at Nutrition S'Mart in Wesley Chapel, but I'm sure there are other places you can find it. I haven't had any side effects from it either.
Thanks! I will have to check this out! One of my friends just had a bad reaction to the iron supplements she got from her midwife (she lives over in England). She ended up in L&D for the night because they thought she was in labor at 29 weeks. I know that iron can make you really constipated too. Nice!
Declinn is doing wonderfully. She had a good first Thanksgiving. And had fun picking out her first christmas tree. We have taken a few pictures of her with the tree and they are just too cute.
I'm still waiting for her first tooth to come in and hopefully it will happen soon. I have the drooliest baby alive who just keeps munching on her fingers!
