What other holidays are you celebrating? We will celebrate Christmas and New Years.
How are you planning to celebrate them (with family, etc.)? I hope we can see family for Christmas but I don't know if DH will be able to get leave. If he can't we are going to spend it by ourselves, making new traditions
Any plans to ring in 2011 yet? I think we will be going to his commander's house for a party. If not, I will throw a party for his co-workers!

How was your Thanksgiving? It was good, got to spend lots of time with my family. It was nice to have a drama free holidayAny plans to ring in 2011 yet?
Not yet...maybe spend the night at a local hotel, or find a party...but usually not too big on NY plans...too many crazy people out driving!

How was your Thanksgiving? It was good. We do dinner with H's family (SIDE NOTE: the potatoes were instant
), dessert with mine...but I'm starting to really miss out on dinner with my own family. MIL is talking about having Thanksgiving super early in the day next year, with just the immediate family - which would let me and H spend lots of time with them AND have dinner with my family. I hope it happens!
What did you do with the leftovers? We get leftovers from my parents and we're still eating them. SOOOO good.
What other holidays are you celebrating? Christmas!
How are you planning to celebrate them (with family, etc.)? We have Christmas Eve at our house with my family and H's family. Christmas morning we go to my aunt's and in the afternoon we go to MIL and FIL's house. On the 26th, my whole extended family gets together - it's one of my favorite days of the year.
Any plans to ring in 2011 yet? We're taking a quick anniversary trip just up to Milwaukee from 12/30 through 1/2, so we'll be ringing in the new year in Cheeseland!

How was your Thanksgiving?
It was good. My mom started a new thing this year as we go bowling on Thanksgiving instead of having a huge dinner. My siblings and I thought it was a great idea as we already have dinner plans elsewhere just hours before or after. And no cleanup to do.
What did you do with the leftovers?
Since we only had dinner at DH parents, we took the leftovers home. They are almost gone. I love MIL cooking.
What other holidays are you celebrating?
St. Nick's and Christmas. Got the stockings up and decorated the house yesterday.
How are you planning to celebrate them (with family, etc.)?
X-mas eve is with DH's paternal extended family. We usually do a white elephant gift giving which is hilarious and always look forward to it. X-mas day is lunch with my immediate family and dinner is with DH's maternal extended family. The rest of my family is having X-mas on the 12th (and 5 hours away) and I can't go seeing I have a final exam on that day. So DH and I will be going up sometime in January to see them.
Any plans to ring in 2011 yet?
We are hosting the annual NYE party at our house this year. It's kind of a round robin as it is at a different location every year. This I can't wait for.
How was your thanksgiving? It was good, pretty uneventful. It was just H, my sis and I. I did all of the cooking and H and I did the clean up while my sister did nothing, so that was pretty predictable lol.
What did you do with the leftovers? I LOVE turkey leftovers. I make turkey puffs (crescent rolls stuffed with turkey, cream cheese, butter, milk, salt, and pepper) and baked until they're crispy outside. I also make creamed turkey gravy for breakfast. The rest of the leftovers get eaten as is.
What other holidays are you celebrating? Just Christmas. And even that will be small this year
How are you planning on celebrating them? we're driving to his parents house the night of the 23rd (10 hour road trip with 2 dogs in the car through the night...) so that we get there the morning of the 24th. We'll have Xmas with them and his grandparents on the morning of the 25th. Around noon we'll leave for my grandparents house (4 hours away) with both dogs in tow and have dinner and christmas with them, then drive the 2 hours to my parents house to spend the 26th and then drive back to GA through the night on the 26th so that H can work on the 27th. Ugh
Any plans to ring in 2011? Um hells yeah! H and I are taking our honeymoon from Dec 30-Jan 7 and we're spending the first 4 days in Paris and the last 3.5 in Rome. We'll be spending NYE under the Eiffel tower with fireworks!!!
