My Naked Finger

Forgot to put my ring back on this morning.  Been waking up w/ pain in my fingers and I thought my ring was cutting off circulation, so I've been sleeping sans ring.  Still had pain this morning, so it may just be arthritis.  Oh yeah, getting old.

I'm sad it's not there.  It's the first time I've ever forgotten :(  Plus DH is out of town, so I like to worry it when he's not around, when I'm thinking of him and I can't.

  • Aww it's ok.  I hate when I don't have mine on, too.  I'm sure I'll forget it eventually.

Once, Jeff left his at work, and he was so upset about it that he drove back to work to get it at like 9 pm.  I thought that was cute.

  • That is super sweet :)  Rob has been taking his off much more often lately to lotion up b/c it's so dry here.  He leaves it by the lotion bottle and will forget to wear it for days.  Typical male behavior.

  • I forgot mine once and realized while driving to work.  I knew I was going to make myself late but I turned around to go get it anyway.

Don't worry, you'll have it as soon as you get home tonight!

I don't always wear my ring to bed b/c I don't know WTF I do with my hands/arms during the night, but I've been known to scratch myself in my sleep.  It's the first thing I put on in the morning.  I'm gonna try to sleep with them on again I think =)  DH always sleeps with his on and I love it <3

  • We've both been putting on lotion lately too - stupid winter dryness.  He's been pretty good about remembering it after that, but sometimes he takes it off at work when he's doing certain things.

We both take our rings off to shower.  For a while, he was forgetting to put it on after his shower (he showers at night, so he would remember eventually without having to go without all day), but one say he came running out in his towel all excited, to tell me that he realized if he keeps his ring on the bathroom counter, instead of his dresser, he never forgets it.  He's so cute - I never thought he would be so attached to his ring.

  • Chris refuses to wear his ring.  We fought about it for a while and I even stopped wearing mine in protest.  He somehow managed to make me feel pretty shitty about doing that, so I started wearing mine again.  He never put his back on.   argggghhhhh...sometimes he drives me nuts.

  • I feel so lost without mine, yet I'm the one who will take it off to shower and not remember to put it back on until I'm going somewhere....so I didn't wear it for most of this weekend.

What I really hate is that I have to drop them off to be inspected/cleaned and I really don't wanna go a week without them both.

  • I almost never never take my wedding ring off, but I often forget to wear my e-ring. (I need to take it off when I sleep otherwise H and I will both be covered in scratches) But I used to freak out when I forgot my e-ring pre-marriage. For awhile, I was working construction so it was on a chain around my neck.

  • I forget to wear mine often. I don't sleep in it, so when I get in the shower at night or wash my face I put it in my my box and then in the morning sometime I will forget to put it back on. H never forgets his and loves to wear it. A couple of times we will be out to dinner and he notices I'm not wearing mine and he's wearing his and irratates him pretty bad. I would shower/sleep in mine but my when i'm cold it gets pretty loose so i'm afraid it might slip off.

  • I have forgotten mine at home a few times too.  We don't wear our rings when we're at home.  We're afraid of them getting damaged, scratched, or diamonds falling out of my rings.

When we go out we both make sure to wear our rings.  We actually went out yesterday and both forgot our rings, it was funny.

  • I forget to wear my rings at least once during the week, and it's normal for me to take them off Friday after work and not put them on again until Monday. MFD forgets his once or twice a week too.

We are laid back ring people.
