He is seriously good people. I swear, I don't know what I did to deserve him but it must have been REALLY good.
Friday evening he got home from work kind of late, 8ish or so. (I wasn't home yet from my BF shopping spree.) As he was unloading our Christmas tree, he could hear crying and realized that our neighbor was in her driveway, sobbing loudly. It should be noted that we have talked to her approximately 2 times in the 2 1/2 years we live there so we don't really know her that well.
Anyway, he walked over there to see if everything was ok. Her dog had gotten hit on the road, she had just found him and was (obviously) losing her mind. He hugged her and offered to help her bury him in the yard. And then he waited with her while she called a friend to come over. She's not married and has no children so her dog was her only companion.
He was so pitiful when he got home because he was so sad for her. She came over on Saturday to tell me that he was an angel for coming see about her because she had no idea what to even do when she found him (her dog).
I heart him.

You're so sweet. I always feel like we're terrible neighbors but we're just so busy that we never have time to socialize. I do feel so sad for her though so I think once this week is over, I'm going to make something yummy and bring it over when MrShoe is home and can come with me. I know that she already got 2 pups and I think she wants to tell him thank you in person.
