Thanksgiving-PIP

This is too funny not to share. This was the first Thanksgiving the entire family got to sit together. Usually it is a few people in each room. Since our furniture has not arrived we rented tables and chairs. We were able to set it up so everyone could sit together.

I hope everyone had  a great weekend.

Re: Thanksgiving-PIP

  • Holy! How many people were over? There's no way that many folks would fit in my house.

  • Aww that is awesome. My family is always spaced out into two rooms.

This year was my first time hosting Thanksgiving. This year, my Dad and brother went to Detroit to celebrate with my Grandparents it left me and my Mom here. I decided to host and have my Mom and Dh's family. Everything came out well and I didn't have a dry turkey. This year was my first time cooking.  I have a whole new found respect for my Mom. Having everything done around the same time is really hard.

There were 20 people. 7 of those are kids. It was a LOUD day!

  • Crazy! 20 people? Do you still have all your hair?

My family would not even fit in 2 rooms, unless I cleared out my basement entirely and even then it would be tough getting them all to fit.

  • I'm gonna say it again..I freakin love your house. I hope I find my way to get to your neck of the woods for a GTG so I can drool in person.

I love having a huge family get together. That looks about right for most of ours. Christmas is done in shifts for us.
