When we first got together we would do it allllllll the time.. a few times a night pretty much every time we saw each other and it was AMAAAAZZINGGG....   Then I started getting UTI/bacterial infections which took a hit... nowww we are lucky to do it once a week and most of the time i feel like he is tearing me so usually i dont want to do it for that reason and after we are done i feel sooo raw and it hurts too bad to pee.. that feeling always goes away in a few hrs but its soo uncomfortable.. its like a pavlov thing.. like you have had bad situations enough that you contribute sex to pain.... we do the whole fore play thing... and lube sometimes... how do we get our groove back? lol

Re: and the list goes on...

  • You should make an appt. with you Gyn to see if there is anything physically wrong with you.

  • There is a condition called interstitial cystitis. Get a full gyn checkup; maybe that's the cause of your problem.

He may refer you to a urologist, also. Maybe you also have a stricture or some other problem where you keep getting UTIs.

If you're not sent to a urologist, why not go to one on your own and follow up on this? it's to your benefit.

Always void before and after sex; drink lots of water and having a little glass of cranberry juice daily will do wonders to keep kidney infections and UTIs away. Eating yogurt will help, too.

  • I have had the same problem with yeast infections & bacterial infections. My girlfriend has also described her feelings as you did, the tearing feeling with the following infection everytime she has sex. We both have started taking a probiotic vitiman (sold here at Trader Joes although you can probably find it at any health food store. It has really help me, I no longer take it everyday but when I feel something coming on I take it and it always goes away within a day or 2. She has really felt relief from it too. Its definitely worth a shot. Its fairly cheap too.
  • Definitely see a medical professional. And if they tell you you're not using enough lube, well, try some more lube, but also try a new doc. Plenty of doctors dismiss legitimate health concerns because of common patient mistakes they get sick of. If yours doesn't listen to you, just find someone else.

How long as it been going on? I had a similar issue earlier this year (burning during sex, it felt like he was tearing me...not a stabbing pain, just burning...but constant during sex and for a few hours afterwards), just a few months before we got married, and I was freaking out that it would last forever! I went to the gyn visit and everything came back completely normal....but, it still hurt. WTH right?! I took AZO, both cranberry and max strength because I didn't know what was going on, (www.azoproducts.com) to see if it would help and I'm honestly not sure if it did. I took the pills for a few weeks before it finally stopped but that business lasted for well over a month, maybe almost 2 months. Thankfully, the pain did stop and we got our groove back before the wedding (he was thrilled! LOL). Like I said, the doctor said everything came back clear and I looked healthy...I don't know. Maybe it's worth trying (azo). I got mine from the grocery store actually, should be easy enough to find.

Good luck! I know how frustrating this is, for both of you.
