How was Tahoe? Did you go to North or South? I heard they got a lot of fresh powder. I also heard traffic was a nightmare!
Richard and I usually go to South Lake Tahoe in March for my b-day and our anniversary/engagaversary. We might go in Jan, but I like going in March because it's not as cold.

Hey Deb - we left after dinner Thursday and hit no traffic at all. We went to the north shore. Rode at a small place (Soda Springs) on Friday as my H hasn't been snowboarding in a while, and needed to get the feel of it again. It was snowing Saturday morning and a little windy so we bagged the idea of riding (I really wanted to go but H hates riding when it's snowing). since one of the board shops mentioned that we probably couldn't get up to Mt. Rose. We lost $84 for 2 tickets for Mt. Rose since we prepaid for them for that day only, and it took us a little over 2 hours to get from Truckee to Auburn. I have a 4x4 so I didn't have any problems driving or with caltrans, but we saw lots of people on the side putting chains on or taking them off. We're definitely going back, maybe in two to three weekends. I'm itching to go to again and for 2 days in a row. In the south, I've only been to Sierra and hit up Kirkwood once but didn't care for Kirkwood. I was there on a day when half of the resort was closed down due to high winds.
