Hey girls, I am having a sad day. Not me, in particular, but a lot of people around me. My best friend's grandma died on Saturday, one of my coworkers lost her sister yesterday to ovarian cancer, and my mom called me today to tell me my sister is leaving her husband, taking my 2 nephews and moving home the week of Christmas (upstate NY to east coast Massachusetts). It makes my heart ache that people are feeling such hurt and sadness this time of year.
If you wouldn't mind sending some good vibes out, especially to my sister, she has a tough road ahead of her. It will be good for her in the long run, but long story short, she's been with him 10 years, married 6, and the boys are 5 and 3. She's turning 30 next month and I have high hopes that whatever caused this decision to be made (it sounds like it's been a long time coming), she is able to start fresh and give her boys a good life. They'll be living with my parents indefinitely until she can get on her feet, and I just hope it can be as easy and burden-free as possible.
Thank for letting me vent, girls. I hate to be a downer, but it's on the DL right now, only immediate family knows. I appreciate the presence of such a supportive community here.

Thanks, girls. You all rock, you know. It just goes to show, you never know what any given person is struggling with in their own lives.
