Christmas presents!

So I finally decided what I am going to get my coworkers (my grade level and couple ladies in administration) for Christmas. Last year I made Muddy Buddies (Chex Mix with chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar...it's sometimes called trash but I grew up calling it Muddy Buddies)...anywho, I decided I didn't want to do food this year and have been struggling with what I could get for 6 +/- a few people. I was perusing the Etsy Cyber Monday deals, when I remembered seeing posts about people making marble magnets as their favors (I can't remember if it was one of you ladies or someone on the DIY board).

The light bulb went off and I knew that I HAD to make these as my gifts! YAY! So excited! I searched for directions on how to make them and stumbled about this website...http://www.notmartha.org/tomake/marblemagnets/ I can't wait to get my list together and head to Michael's to get started on this craft! :-) I've been looking for something to keep myself occupied after the wedding.

Have any of you ladies made these before???? If so, did they turn out ok??? Any suggestions or helpful hints are greatly appreciated and I'll let you all know how they turn out!!! :-D

  • i have made those many times before..and they are super easy and turn out really nice.

it's about the only crafty thing i can do...as im very challenged craft-wise...lol :)

  • That's an awesome idea!!!  If I had any clue where to get the marbles around here I would give it a whirl.

  • I've never made them, but my SIL made them for us with her kids a couple of years ago. They turned out super cute, and are still on my fridge.  Great idea!

  • I am doing those for my little gifts :) I did not start yet, but will this weekend. I will do cut outs of various wedding pictures and use them for the marbles :)  Show yours off when you are done. I will do mine too :)
  • I love those! I've never made them myself but I know people who have. They're super cute. Using wedding pics is a great idea!

I somehow missed the fact that Etsy had a Cyber Monday sale. Boo.
