Re: Black Friday Ladies

  • We went out, left our house about 3 a.m. to go stand in line at Target because they opened at 4 a.m.  We pulled in the lot, parked, walked up, saw that the line was out past the old Media Play and wrapping around the back, it crazy.  We left, there wasn't really anything we truly wanted there.

Went to Wal Mart.  It was very organized at the one on Central, this year you had to get tickets for electronic items, they had begun passing them out at midnight.  We only wanted one thing you needed a ticket for, a 19" TV for my dad, I lucked out and got the 3rd to last ticket.  I waited in line and Jeff ran around and picked up a wireless printer for my dad for $44, a Tom Tom GPS for us for $79 and then every year corporate gives his work money for an xmas party for employees and part of it goes towards gifts.  They do a raffle type thing, he picked up 2 more Tom Toms for $59 each, a blue ray player for $50, a digital camera for $50 and a few other odds and ends.  His director of nursing went out too and she picked more items up.

After that we went to Toys R Us and got Davis the WonderPets schoolhouse set for $9.99!!!  75% off!!!  woot!!  Then we got him the Tag Junior reading system for $17 and an extra book for $7.

Went to Office Depot and got an 8GB memory card for $12 and some jewel cases for $2.99.

We went home, napped, woke up and ventured to the mall, we didn't buy anything, but we had lunch at BDs, it was delicious :o)

  • I was in line at Target in perrsyburg at 230 am. I had a list of toys to get for the kids in the family (we do group shopping, and i'm usually the shopper). Then ran to walmart out there and could only find one of the things on my list. Then I got sick :o( so I had to wuss out early. I LOVE BF!! lol.
  • I went out wed and got some good deals on toys at meijer. Fri I just went when I woke up, which was 6AM, the things I wanted were still available. I got uno moo for 9.99, leap text and learn for $14.99 and my best deal was I. Took the target ad to walmart to price match the leapster games I used the ad for the explorer games and they let me since target ad said all leapster games, then I had a coupon for $10 off 2, so they came to $10 a piece, reg $25! Whoot whoot, I bought extra for P bday. Picked up gps's for other people that seemed to be good deals, and we got a blu ray player for home too.

  • I'm still in the process of recovering, lol.  I was up till 1am, researching tvs.  I got up at 3:30am and discovered I could order the tv on-line at bb (the 55"), so I did that (but stupid me forgot to go through bigcrumbs, so I missed out on $50 or so).  Then A woke up at 4:30.  I went back to bed until 7:30 or so then got up and ran all around with my nieces.  I picked some things from Kohls (Kris, I looked for you but didn't see you), the body shop, hot topic (for my youngest niece), lowes (they were out of what i wanted, but then I bought it on-line for same price & free shipping) and a couple other places.  I wanted to meet up with a few of the girls from here to do out xmas exchange, but I didn't get done until 4:15pm.  Took a nap and then got up, packed up the car and drove back to Cleveland.  I love BF, but I think I might be getting too old for it.. lol.  It was great to spend time with my nieces though.
  • I was up there in your neck of the woods.  I took my niece to TRU at 10:15 Thursday night and the line was insane!  Plus it was starting to rain so we left and drove around airport looking at people lined up outside BB and Target in tents.  Madness.  I probably could have gone into Walmart, but she didn't want to.

Friday I went to Elder Beerman with SIL for some boots I wanted.  I had coupons, but they didn't work on anything, grrr.  I got my boots for about $35, which was about $10 off what they were the week before.  I got some boots for Alex too, but they weren't that great of a deal $19.

We headed to the mall and I didn't get anything until gamestop.  I got suckered into buying DH's gifts there, but there really wasn't a good sale.  However, price shopping for the same stuff online now I see I didn't do too bad.

I wish I'd had internet access to shop online, there were a ton of good deals that I could've just gotten from home.  I really wanted to get a PSP (with my SIL) for my brother from TRU, but oh well.
