Terrible or Terrific Tuesday?

Hi Ladies!  How is everyone's day starting off?

Mine has not been quite terrible, but I foresee it getting closer to that throughout the day.  After spending all day yest working w/ someone who should know what they're doing, I found out that she effed up majorly on the simplest (and only) thing I've given her to do for the past month, so now I have to go and completely redo everything she screwed up yesterday.  Today is also the end of the month, which means I'm going to be busy getting billing done.  Tomorrow is the beginning of the month, so I'm going to be busy getting things ready for that set of billing, too.  I got to bed way too late last night b/c class got out over a 1/2 hour late!  I'm grumpy b/c I'm tired/exhausted, and now am in a crunch to try and get everything done.  Sigh.  Vent over.

Re: Terrible or Terrific Tuesday?

  • Mine is okay so far, besides the fact that I don't really wanna be at work today.  I have my 1st dr appt. Monday (dec 6) and thats all I can really focus on!  I hope ur day gets better!

Why are you re-doing it? Make her fix it so she'll learn something.

I'm on day 4 of a sinus headache that doesn't want to let up. Not real thrilled about that, but otherwise - it's my work from home day and it's nice to be able to stay home when the weather is crappy. I'm setting up to make a batch of my black-eyed pea chili (w/ turkey) so that I'll have something warm and happy to eat after my evening run. Meeting friends to run later, rain or shine.

  • My day is not bad. I got up on time, lol. I am back to work after 5 days of being off. We did our final walk through of the house last night and the bank called DH this morning to tell him everything looks good and we can close on Wednesday! I updated my address with my bank, and a few other places. I picked the charity I will be donating to for 2011, very happy about it! Considering buying tickets to The Nutcracker...very good day so far

  • The rain makes everything feel worse.  Last night I kind of broke it off with the guy I have been talking to, which sucks b/c I really liked him.  I am really busy at work this week, which is a good thing.  My sinuses have been acting up so I am not feeling so hot, but I think a good workout tonight will help.  So I wouldn't say my Tuesday is terrible, but it definitely isn't terrific.
  • Not too shabby. I got a run in this morning before the rain picked up, and I conquered a hill near me that I've never ran before. 1.5 years ago, I seriously couldn't WALK up the hill without stopping - it's a monster. It took me three minutes and I was about to fall over by the end but I ran the whole thing. :)

Otherwise, same old same old. Getting through the day!!

  • I have nothing to complain about yet! I guess it's just a mediocre day. Sorry, I tried to find a "t-word" to replace mediocre, but I've got nothing :)

She only works 2 whole days a week, Monday and Thursdays.  Since today is the last day of the month, we have to get everything billed for end of month.  Otherwise, I would most def leave it for her to re-do.  If we would've discovered the multitude of issues she made earlier in the day, she prob could've done it herself.  She is slower than slow molasses and it took her an entire day to not finish the one thing I gave her that max should've taken 2 hours for a non-experienced person.

Hope your sinus headache goes away soon; those def suck.

    YAHOO!!!! Great job!!

I was not a hill runner at all until about a year ago (when I joined the group), but now it's an area I take a good amount of pride in. I know what a HUGE deal that is for you! You go girl!

  • It is terrific because it is over but it was pretty terrible while it lasted. I can't explain bc of the confidential part of working at a school but it was drama filled.

  • Today is Tired Tuesday.  I'm exhausted, but I got a lot accomplished with minimal mistakes, so I'll take it.

Yes!! I hates the hills!!! I've been getting better at them since I've forced myself to do them more, since the Pig 10k nearly killed me. This road near me is nearly a quarter mile of steep uphill. I can't even run back down it because I'm afraid of falling on my face.

My ultimate hill goal: run up Muchmore Road in Mariemont/Indian Hill. Muahahaha.

  • OK.....two small Tuesday tantrums:

    1. Why the heck does everyone in Cincinnati have to honk at a person if they don't gun their engine the second a light turns green??? I've lived in four midwestern cities/metro areas and this is totally unique to Cincy, I swear. What gives??

    2. I am trying trying trying to register for the exam I have to take to be an independently licensed counselor. If the exam is half the pain in the butt of the registration process, I'm gonna fail. First, I had to request a letter from the state licensure board to take it. Then I had to send that on to the National board, along with $145, to be eligible to register. After a few weeks with no word (and I want to take this sucker in December), I emailed them. They responded a week later saying they hadn't gotten payment and I had to check with my bank. The payment cleared 3 weeks beforehand, and I gave them my debit card number - it's not like I sent them a check they were gonna lose. I responded right away; today (four weeks after payment cleared) I get confirmation that NOW I can go ahead and register for the exam.

So I registered for a date/time online. I had to create an account to do so, and it wouldn't let me because my ss# was already in the system (had to go through all this for my FIRST licensure exam.) So I found my old account and registered....and get a confirmation email with my maiden name. Really?! I double checked and apparently they DID switch my address but not my name. So I called the testing people (not the national board) and they say I have to register through the national board if I want to take the exam. NO, I'm already registered, but under the wrong name. They say I have to go through the national board and change my name, even though I applied under my married name, and I changed my name with the state board right after I got married.

So now I have to call these people tomorrow and deal with them again and lord knows if they'll be competent enough to actually fix it or if I'll be denied when I show up to the exam with an ID showing a different last name. And these are the people who decide if *I* am competent enough to be a therapist. Arrrrrgh!

YIKES!  Be careful.  People are horrible at staying in their own lane on that road!!

Yeah, I know. I'm a little scared of the traffic - people come barrelling down that road. It would just be awesome to say I ran it. I can't even get my bike too far up there!!
