McCain wins military poll in a landslide
McCain: 68%
Obama: 23%
I'm only posting this b/c I remember all the threads about military donations to Obama. I know this doesn't negate the polls showing Obama winning.
Guard & Reserves go for McCain 71 to 21. Retirees are 72 to 20 for McCain. Enlisted are 67 to 24 for McCain. Officers are 70 to 22 for McCain.

Re: McCain wins military poll in a landslide
That's a huge margin every which way.
Is there data about the general party breakdown of those in the military? I'm wondering how big of an impact his military experience has on those who are relatively politically neutral in the military, or those who are single-issue military voters.
The internals are listed in the link in my OP.
I'm not at all surprised. However, my own personal informal polling shows more Obama supporters than expected. I think that was the surprise; that there would be any supporters and donors (OMG, I wrote donators at first!) at all. You of course expect it still to be a Republican landslide, but the margin is actually smaller than I anticipated.
Over on military newlyweds there were quite a few Obama supporters, too. I don't know the percentage, and it certainly it's a representative poll, but, again, way more for Obama than I thought.
