Over the past several months, I have noticed a trend. The week of my period, I get crazy pain in my legs. At first, I thought it was from shin splints, but it's not just in my shins/calfs. Basically, it feels like my muscles want to break off of my legs and go live a life without me. It's pretty painful, and it's nearly constant.
I am very frustrated by this. It seems to hit when I'm making good progress with working out, and it makes it very hard to keep up the good work. Just walking is painful, let alone trying to run. The only thing that even slightly helps is taking ibuprofen every 4 hours, and I don't even want to think about what that is doing to my stomach.
Okay, that's all. Thanks for reading. I just had to let that out.
Re: I just need to vent.
That's bizarre, I'd run it past my doctor.
I was getting crazy calf pain once and the doctor ordered an ultrasound just to check for blood clots (being on birth control raised his concern).
How many months has this happened?
Yes, check with the doctor.

Definitely check with your dr but it makes me wonder why the pill would cause that. They need to find you one that does not cause such adverse side effects. Since you aren't wanting kids maybe an IUD would be good for you?
I dunno - I'm no doctor!
