All HELLL is Breaking LOOSE!!
I swear it is. Work has started to be crazy and being that it is the end of the year that usually is NOT the case. I've actually probably been more busy with stuff other than my normal duties. We have had emergency after emergency after emergency at work.
First, there was my friend who had to have a hysterectomy. She is doing well and should be back soon.
Then, another one of our MA's almost lost her mother. She is from an Asian culture and the oldest of her siblings. She lives across the street from her parents and takes care of them. Her mother has been sick for awhile but this was the worst of it. Good news is her mom is doing much better and is now in a rehab facility.
Yesterday, one of our ARNP's fell and broke her hip. Not normal, she is only 54. There is something else going on like osteoperosis. She is going to be out at least 2 months.
This morning, we found out that another of our MA's who is a really close friend of mine and who I love dearly, is going to be gone at least 31 days on emergency medical leave. We are all trying to figure out where he is. Our office manager knows where he is going but is not telling us. She kind of told me a little bit without telling me the whole story. He flew out today. He asked me yesterday if he could borrow some money, which I lent him. A friend of mine in my office asked her where he was and was taking guesses and the only one the office manager didn't respond to was rehab. I'm still trying to find out from another friend if this is where he is.
My boss found out that his partner is going to have to have surgery on his wrist, again. He ruptured a tendon picking up his cell phone. He had surgery a couple years ago on the same wrist and has not been the same since. He was an acomplished pianist who hasn't been able to play since his surgery.
We are just waiting for more to happen!
Sorry for the vent and sorry so long, I just feel like everything at work is falling apart (everyone comes to me for help, I will drop what I am doing to help someone else, no questions asked). Just please keep my work family in your thoughts and prayers and hope that nothing else happens. Things have to turn around soon, right?
