It's December.....what holiday activities do you have on your calendar this month?
Re: QOTD
We have Nick's company holiday party next weekend - its on a Friday, totally annoying. But it's a very nice shindig.
Going to see Santa at the mall next Saturday
Then just normal Christmas Eve, Christmas day, day after Christmas visiting with our families.
Probably won't put the tree up until next weekend or the weekend after!
A bunch of work luncheons, work holiday party, neighborhood holiday party, DH's side has their holiday dinner the Saturday before Christmas, etc.
I think we might have a party this weekend, too.
Wives Unscripted
We have decided in order not to tip anyone off we are taking it week by week and if we need to cancel things then so be it.
So far we cancelled our Christmas Sweater Party, and I am not looking forward to the Christmas Eve dinner we are suppose to have with DH's parents (they have one bathroom right off of the kitchen) if I am peeing every 5 seconds everyone will know not to mention if I end up not feeling well.
We are suppose to have Christmas Day with my family which should be okay.
Christmas night is at our house as well as New Years Eve.
SANTA?!?!?! I KNOW HIM!!
Sorry, couldn't resist one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite Christmas movies!
I have a jam-packed next few weeks.
Friday, we have a huge potluck at work (I HATE potlucks).
Next Thursday, we have a huge retirement party at work.
Next Saturday is my ugly Christmas sweater party.
Then we have a college-wide "holiday" party (can't say Christmas party because we're a state-institution...).
Then we have another potluck (barf) at a co-worker's house.
Then we have a nice office lunch at fancy local place.
Then we go to NYC!!!
I'm tired just reading what I wrote....I have to think of things to take to the potlucks and I'm in charge of the retirement party. I love the holiday season, but it's always so stressful for me!
I have an ornament exchange next weekend, work holiday party next week, I want to go to NYC to see the tree, window decor, etc, and then driving to MI (11 hours ugh!) to spend Christmas, and then driving home (ugh!). Plane tix are at least $450pp so we don't really have another option. I think we are going snowmobiling in New York over New Years too.
And December/January are the busiest months at work, so I will be spending a lot of time here too.

12/18: IL's holiday party
12/19: Baking extravaganza!
Christmas eve: going to IL's for our celebration
Christmas Day: back to my parents for Christmas with that side of the family.
NYE: Back to celebrate with the IL's at DH's cousin's house.
Of course also have to find time to wrap everything, finish my shopping, and decorate.
