  • Since you're starting it early, I assume you have a good one. Spill. Stick out tongue
  • can I play? what are the rules?

  • Mrs. H -- just spill an unpopular opinion of yours.

Example: I think all puppies need to die. They're so ugly.

(and I think it goes without saying that's not my unpopular opinion..?)

  • All I got is...

I have a crazy desire to get in a fist fight.  I want to.  BAD.  Maybe I need to take up boxing?

I think people who celebrate Christmas and do not put up Christmas lights suck, and I kind of want to pack up all of the dog crap from my back yard and light it on fire on your porch.  How's that for Christmas spirit?

Oh, Okay! I think that people should not be able to use EBT at Papa Murphys and other fast food restaurants. In fact I think they should be limited to store brand stuff and not fill their baskets with steaks and deli sliced meats and really expensive sodas and cookies and other goods. If my family can eat equate and save brand names with my paycheck, then they should have to as well.

I have always wanted to get into a real knock-down, drag-out fight. I want to use fists. I miss the kick bag at my old gym. I kind of want to know what it feels like to kick the *** out of someone.

If I understand correctly, EBT can't be used on food that is already prepared, so not at fast food restaurants, or even fried chicken from the deli in the grocery store. Papa Murphy's is allowed because it is not already cooked. Of course, the rules could have changed in the three years I've been out of the business, but I doubt it.

No skittles for poor people! Critti and amanjay, I'm looking at you. Stick out tongue

We have been discussing whether to put up lights this year, and we are thinking not, for two reasons.  First, we have a lot of work to do on our house to get it on the market hopefully in March, so H doesn't really have time.  Second, I love Christmas lights, but I'm torn about feeling like it is a waste of energy for everyone to put them up, especially if you don't live in a high-traffic area.  We live in an out-of-the way spot in our neighborhood, so not many people would see our lights anyway.

The "Griswalds" down the street have us covered, I think haha. You all should see it.

  • I think the iPhone is overrated.

For that matter, I don't get why cell phones are now treated a fashion accessory instead of as a functional piece of technology. I don't understand why upgrading to the newest phone model as soon as possible is such a big deal (e.g. rushing to get the new iPhone the day it comes out). If my current one works just fine and I've been happy with it, why should I spend more money to buy a slightly newer one? I cringe at the Verizon/ AT&T/etc. commercials that urge people to buy cell phones as Christmas presents.

    You're right.

I think I should start saving some of my responses from the Nest for cut and pasting for ease of reply :)

    Ha ha!! Too funny. :)

  • I judge people that don't let me in front of them when I have less than 5 items and they have a shopping cart full of groceries. Seriously, I had 4 items and she had the entire store in her cart.

2nd thing, went to the movies a few weeks ago and a couple brought in their infant. The baby whined. Alot. I wanted to shush them but I refrained. I was peeved. I don't care so much that you bring kids, just respect that we too paid to see a movie in SILENCE.

  • Texting while in class (it drives me insane and is really distracting to me while I'm teaching, PLUS, you're not doing well enough in  this class to listen to me AND text your friend.)

Texting while driving. I'm looking at you, little miss, who caused the wreck tonight and made me miss a fun evening out. I got the better end of the deal (and it wasn't my fault) but still, soreness and dealing with insurance paperwork is no fun. I can't prove she was texting when she rear ended us, but when she got out of the car to yell, "My car wouldn't stop! I don't know what's wrong with it!" her phone fell out. Funny...your car stopped just fine when I said, "Maybe we should all pull over to the side to wait for the cops."

I realize that, on rare occasion, emergencies arise. But, 99% of the time, you're not THAT important that you have to text someone right.this.second!

  • I give up on keeping up with technology. I never really did anyway, but...example. I bought a Wii in June because I thought we'd be able to use it for awhile and that it'd be fun to have. Then...bam. The Kinect crap came out, and no one but me wants to play with the Wii anymore. Good heavens. I am NOT spending the money on gaming systems ever again.

I agree, I think it's really rude. I don't know if people think they're all important when they text like that, or what. And man, seriously - if some idiot hits me because they were texting, they will get some wrath their way like no other. That is so dangerous - anyone that texts while driving is irresponsible, lame, and completely uncaring of other people's lives and property, and I don't care how "good" they think they are at it - they're not.
