Meeting the neighbors-sorry long
WE really want to meet the rest of our neighbors. We live in a neighborhood on 3 acres and all of the houses are spaced out but close enough. Hopefully that makes sense. ha
We had a couple of the ladies in the neighborhood bake us a pie and bring it over on the first day but since then nothing. We will obviously invite them to our open house party but I don't want them to think we are ignoring them or anything.
Also, this is a pretty close neighborhood, they get together a lot and are very social. We would really like to join the "group"
What can I do?
Re: Meeting the neighbors-sorry long
Did you visit them to thank them for the pie? (Mmm. Pie. Want.)
Open house sounds like a good idea. Otherwise just look for opportunities to say hello when you see them around and stuff. Give it time, I'm sure you'll all get to know each other.
Perhaps send around some Christmas cookies?

The pie was so good. Fresh, still hot from the oven! We didn't visit after the pie. We met the husband of one shortly after. I was to write a thank you note but I am clueless as how to deliver it other than plain old snail mail.
The Christmas cookie idea is a good one. Thanks!
