So I'm back to work now...
and I hate it 
It's been 10 days, and the only thing that made me happy at my job before was my friendships with my employees. I got along with them all so well, and now most of them barely work, or have gotten other jobs. I'm so sad. Plus, my GM decided to load me up with all the tasks that everyone hates doing, because I'm the one who knows how to do everything and actually gets things done. Uggggh.
It's been 5 weeks since my last interview with RIM, and the 2 week timeline my recruiter gave me was up yesterday. My job ALSO got reposted last night, so I figured I was done. Then I emailed my recruiter in a last ditch effort just now, and he replied and said the posting shouldn't have been removed and I will hear by Friday. I think he replied so fast because I told him if he came to my restaurant, I'd buy him a beer! I've never met him, but I figured a little friendly joke/offer might make him smile. At least I got a reply out of him, right?

I feel for you. My work sucks lately too. I turned in my official resignation, so now it's like "here, take that!" and I'm basically doing 3 jobs here instead of just mine. So I play on the nest instead!
Our lights are up...but I admittedly do not like them. For outside my home...I like white lights. Ice is white. Snow is white. So for my lights, I like white. DH knows this. I have always had white lights.
What do we have now? Multi-colored icicles across the top of our house, super huge multi-colored bulbs lining our front window and front garden, mutli-colored lights around my lamppost, multi-colored lights running the entire length of our fenceline in the backyard, as well as the super-big bulbs lining our garage. Add that to the fake snowman, deer, and candycanes all over our front yard. Plus the bright blue lights and multi-colored net lighting on our bushes.
I'm no scrooge...but my house looks like the beginnings of a Griswald Christmas. The kids are even slightly embarrased. But DH...he just keeps wanting more. My poor neighbors.
So while he was gone hunting this week, we put up the tree and the inside decorations. On the tree, I put white lights. (Take that, dear hubby.)
I'm thinking as the years go on, we will be considering marital counseling over the Christmas lights.

We have our tree and indoor lights/decorations up, but we've had crappy weather and DH needs to get an extension cord for outdoor lights. I hope they look ok...they're the new LED colored lights so they look a little different than classic ones.
