Pie fest twenty ten
So I forgot to do a recap of my pie making experience on thanksgiving. You guys had some great recipes. Quianna I am gonna take a stab at the sweet potato pie for Christmas. I decided to go with Sarah's pumpkin pie recipe and Samantha's apple pie because the pumpkin seemed like something I could do, and Samantha claimed her pie was kick arse- so I had to see if that was true.
They both came out great with no meltdowns and I didn't gave to call Sarah halfway through because I burned the house down, like I threatened.
Everyone loved them, especially my moms BFF who puts Martha Stewart to shame, and my dad made the comment tonight that the apple pie was the best he'd ever had. Although it may have been his pain mess, I'll take it.
