Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. UGH. My e-mail got hacked!

I keep getting calls/e-mails from people asking why I'm in London and how I got into trouble!!  UGH UGH UGH. 

I HATE E-MAIL HACKERS.  NOTHING GOOD COMES OF IT.  No one is going to send you money to "save me" idiot hacker idiots!!!!!

    That happened to both me and DH not too long ago. We just changed our passwords to something *hopefully* harder to crack. I think it's a pretty common thing. I see friends posting on facebook all the time saying- ignore my emails- i got hacked etc.

    I can't even get into the account.  When I click on "e-mail me my password" it says it is going to so*******@hotmail.com which is nothing like any of my e-mail addresses.

    I reported it and they are looking into it.  I just hope there wasn't any info in there they can use to do any serious damage.  I never use that account so I don't remember...

    Better than what happened to me today. We got our Comcast bill and it includes $109 of nasty porno PPV movies all from one night when we weren't even home...try getting that taken off your bill. They are going to do an 'investigation'...it really sucks because we have automatic withdrawal from our bank account so we've already paid for it!  So frustrating and gross! :(

    Weird!  I wonder how someone even does that??  

    I'm nervous they won't believe it's my e-mail account because they asked all kinds of questions and since I never use that account I have no idea who "my last 10 e-mails might be from"  ???  Eep!  I wish they would just close it.  :-/

    My husband's email got hacked, it was also an old one. We went in and deleted it, but someone is STILL sending spam out from it. Crazy this is when I try and sign on the account doesn't exist! so now what can we do!?

    Uh-oh.  I hope that doesn't happen to mine.  :-( 

    DH wants to make up a fake e-mail and play along with them for a bit and see what kind of info he gets out of them.  Hah.

    I have a friend who did that, she had fun for about a month and then they caught on and just stopped replying.
