XP:environmentally friendly (electric) energy suppliers?
I've already posted this on my local board but thought some of you might have suggestions.
My MIL was asking me about if there was alternative (in particular a environmentally friendly option) to PECO, our electricity/natural gas supplier.
Other than PECO Wind (where they purchase energy from local wind farms) & actually implementing a solar panel/wind mill or another energy producing device on to the household? Do you know of any environmentally friendly energy companies available in the Philadelphia/Tristate region?
Re: XP:environmentally friendly (electric) energy suppliers?
I'm not sure if they're available in Philly, but I'm in MD and use Clean Currents. They still bill you through your regular energy company, but they give you a lower rate and guarantee that your energy will come from wind farms. I think you can either opt for 50% or 100% to come from wind.

Use this website: http://www.papowerswitch.com/
Go to "find suppliers" and type in your zip code. There is a column for renewable energy in the list.
Or scroll to the bottom of the page for renewable energy add-on options.
