Your mission, if you choose to accept it...(boots mentioned)
I am fashion challenged. Seriously, I wouldn't know style if it hit me over the head. I'm very plain Jane, most comfortable in comfy pants, jeans, sweaters and hoodies.
I want a nice pair of stylish boots for winter. Black or brown. Flat or a low, chunkier heel (I am very short and wide not to mention clumsy). Something that can be nice enough to wear to work or casual enough to wear on the weekends. Something that will fit over my large calves. Nothing thigh high that will make me look shorter than I already am. Under $100. Preferably under $75. I shop at places like Kohl's, JCP, Old Navy, Target. I'm cheap.
Annnnnnnd.....GO!

I don't have any specifics in mind, but I'm looking for the same and found some possibilities at DSW.com.
I like the way you can search- you can click on "boots under $75" etc and narrow down by size.
I have these: Boots!!!
and LOVE them. $40 right now and no shipping! I got black and they are fabulous. I wore them around NYC walking and walking and walking with no aches or pains. I am a stickler about shoes and will not wear something that hurts just because it's pretty. I love them and am considering getting the berry color actually. They have a wide opening at the top and also elastic so definitely fit diff size calves (I have muscular man calves and they are comfy).
I just got these boots:

more for cold weather but soo comfy and in black they look good under dress pants.
