Nobody knows what Febreeze is made out of, so no I don't consider it green. Soy or beeswax candles are green, as they are made from renewable sources, not petroleum like regular candles. Regular candles also release toxins into the air when burned (Google it!). We love beeswax candles, there's a vendor at our Farmer's Market that makes them.

I use plain white vinegar and water in a spray bottle whenever I need to freshen anything (not clothing though unless its going through the wash) but carpet, drapes. upholstry.

This and you add essential oils such as lavendar or jasmine to make it smell nice!

We use one that i think is essential oil/hydrosol, glycerin, alcohol and water. We use it mostly in the bathroom, but do spray it on fabric (curtain, hamper) and in the air. It works and does not damage the fabric. It was purchased, but i'm sure you can find a recipe online to make your own.
