What do you buy on Amazon?
I just signed up for a free trial of Amazon Prime (free 2 day shipping). What do you buy on Amazon? Are the prices really competitive?
Re: What do you buy on Amazon?
Everything. Seriously.
I've bought everything from DVDs and CDs to toys for JJ and specialty food items. For the most part, prices are better there than other places - especially since they're doing a lot of cyber deals right now. I love Amazon Prime.
We buy everything on Amazon, and we also have Amazon Prime. Amazon's prices are usually cheaper than our local retail stores.
Speaking of Amazon, what does everyone think of Oklahoma's new sales tax law for online purchases? Are you going to keep track of your online purchases and estimate your use tax for 2010?
I buy a bunch of stuff. Books, shoes, beauty stuff. It's typically the cheapest place, and free shipping is a plus.
Snowful, I didn't think the use tax was new. I thought it had been around awhile. I'm pretty sure I saw a place for it on the form for either last year's or the year before's taxes.
I remember this from last year. I think now, most online places charge me tax anyway, so I don't really owe a lot with in regards to taxes on online purchases. I don't really keep track of it, but I do my best guesstimate [and usually guess higher than I would probably pay].
It's not new on the form, but Oklahoma just passed the law in 2010 stating that you should pay the use tax for online purchases for those out-of-state businesses with no presence in Oklahoma... or something to that effect.
Girl you need to check into amazon mom...you get prime free for 3 months and then every month after you spend $25 in the baby department you get another month of prime for free.
I use amazon mom's subscribe and save for a lot of stuff-diapers and training pants (7th generation brand), baby wash (burts bees) and lotion (natural organics). I subscribe and save on our oral B toothbrush heads and I order some cleaning products (bio-kleen bac out and charlie's soap) b/c there isn't a local supplier here like in OKC. You can pretty much buy everything on amazon.
I also pretty much ordered all of my Christmas presents on amazon b/c we have an amazon MC that we pay off every month and we get so many points that turns into GCs. I freaking heart amazon.com
