Confession: I completely forgot my dad's birthday yesterday. :-( I feel like such a shmuck. I always make a big deal out of birthdays and send a lot of annoying e-cards throughout the day but this year I completely forgot. :-(
My friend just found out her ex-fiance is engaged again. I confess to totally Google-stalking the new chick to see what she's like. The guy obviously has a type because the new fiance looks JUST like my friend... Hmm.
Vent: I just can't get my act together enough to clean up our house. Maybe this weekend I'll find some motivation.
AW: I love love love the choir I'm in and pinch myself every time I get to go to rehearsal. I think I still don't believe I made it even though it's been 3 months now. :-)
Random: My sister went on a blind date last night. It's her first baby steps back into dating after a 1.5 year relationship ended a few months ago. She is 25 and the guy is almost 30 (he graduated from the same high school as us a year ahead of me.) She had a great time and really likes him. She's had some crazy roller coaster-y emotional relationships/break ups so I hope something goes smoothly in that department for her eventually. She is awesome and deserves to be happy!!

Even though I have every date written in my calendar, somehow I forget occasionally. My dad wouldn't care - I don't thin he remembers his own birthday half the time but I would still feel bad, too!

confession: i gots nothin!
vent: my one confidant at work "resigned effective immediately" today and i'm livid and heartbroken about it. i hate work politics and i hate the shroud of mystery.
AW: i went to Step class monday, wednesday and today and i'm going to body pump tomorrow. i've never gone to the gym 4 times in a week before. it feels awesome!
random: i don't want the snow. we have a busy weekend and i want to get out and socialize!
Confession: I ate half a box of Cheez-Its for breakfast this morning.
Vent: Why do people come to the gym and bring their whole house with them? Then they proceed to take up TONS of space with all their crap in the tiny, cramped locker room; leaving others only inches to maneuver in and change clothes. ANNOYING. Be aware of your surroundings and be considerate of others.
AW: I just ran 5 miles straight for the first time during my training run today. I've run 5 miles before, but never without taking a few laps to walk in between a few miles. Today I did it straight without stopping and I feel AMAZING now. If someone had told me a year ago I was going to be so into distance running, I would've laughed in their face. I can't wait for my next race!
random: Why is my cat so fascinated by chasing his own tail? And what about that annoys my puppy so much? All I really care about is that he doesn't dump my coffee all over the floor doing it.
:::Our Adoption Journey:::
Evan James was born 1/24/13 and matched with us 2/20/13. The LOVE OF MY LIFE!!!
Confession: I have absolutely no motivation to finish installing our hardwood floors. We are installing them in our kitchen and eating area. We have enough installed to be functional in both places but still have a little more to install as well as finish putting on the baseboards. So much tedious work and no motivation to finish.
Vent: I really don't want to drive up to St. Cloud at 5pm today!! Dang Christmas concert and a commitment to my parents.
AW: My daughter is so smart!! She is a year and a half old and can count all the way to 20 (with a little help between 11 and 20). She is getting really good at her colors. I get tons of compliments from everyone how cute and sweet she is
Random: The above AW kind of give me baby fever again, but we have to wait a little to see where our finances are at.
Vent: I wanted to leave work early today and instead I am super busy. And it's the waiting around kind of busy where I need information from other people in order to get my job done.
Confession: I seriously can't think of anything.
AW: I'm going to FL tomorrow and I am super excited to escape all of this cold weather for a few days!
Judging
1-I have a great job and I know it. But lately at work is has been really negative and I get the feeling that my boss hates me so that makes me very worried even though I?m a good worker and I do not feel I deserve to feel this way. Then, I look at all the unemployment out there and consider myself extremely lucky to have my job. At the same time, it could be better but I feel nothing but guilt if I complain. 2-I have a beautiful DD. Sometimes I think I am not a good enough mother and she deserves better than me. I try so hard but working, going to school, and being a mom & wife has gotten to me lately. 3- Why was I so dumb in high school? I wish I would have gone to college and done all this jazz when I was younger and had no responsibilities. The funny thing is, is that I have this busy life and I am doing better in school now then ever before.
AW: My sisters, mom and I are doing our annual Christmas cookie baking at my parents house this weekend. I just love spending the time with my family but more so I love this has become a tradition with us. We usually make about 20 different kinds of cookies! And I have a 3 day weekend...WOOOHOO
Confession: I am dreading showing my mom my 2 new tattoos that I got. She is not a fan of tattoos and these 2 are pretty hard to cover up, I guess she will have to learn to love them.
Vent: Our garage door broke last weekend and it is going to take 7 to 10 days to get a new one. That means parking in the driveway for the next few days, which isn't fun considering how cold out it has been.
Vent: I am over this rollercoaster ride of a pregnancy. Every time we get good news, we get bad news just hours later. Every time we get bad news, we get good news just hours later. There is no happy medium here. The girls are fine, but now everything is wrong with me. I practically live at the hospital now, including being admitted for 3 days over the holiday weekend. I'm also on bedrest (or basically house arrest) now, which is driving me bonkers. I know it's easy to say things you don't mean when in a bitter mood, but I seriously don't see myself ever getting pregnant willingly again. Just give me 2 healthy daughters and I will be thrilled with that! Getting through the next however many weeks until delivery is going to be a challenge.
Confession: I feel guilty about the above vent because I know there are people who would love to get pregnant and have my problems. I'm sure I sound ungrateful to some, but I can't stand the toll this has taken on me, DH and my body.
Vent, I got home to discover our snowblower has been stolen. That's all I got. I'm pissed.
wtf??? out of your garage? cripes. people are just awesome.
This happened to my aunt & uncle this week! They live in Sioux Falls, so likely not the same thief, but still. Weird stuff. Why would anyone want to steal a snow blower?

Confession: I have no motivation to do work. None.
Vent: I'm in severe need of a vacation. We didn't do a real summer vacation this year, just a 3-day weekend trips to Chicago. Then there was the 3-day trip to L.A. in Sept for my SIL's wedding, but there was so much drama and family politics involved, that was not a vacation at all. And then there was the long Thanksgiving weekend, but again, that was not a vacation at all because of SIL and all her drama. I just need to get away and relax and drink lots of wine. Unfortunately, it's too busy at work to take a vacation right now. Ugh.
AW: I love my Christmas trees. I did a good job decorating!
Random: I took an adorable photo of the dog in front of one of the Christmas trees wearing reindeer antlers. It's so cute, and I kind of want to use that photo on Christmas cards. Except I'm scared people will think that's weird. A few days ago a posted a comment about the dog on facebook and a friend responded "You've become one of those people, you know those people who treat their dog like a kid?" I was kind of offended, because I'm proud of how well we take care of the dog, and I have to put up with all her annoying comments about her daughter, so I didn't think the occasional comment about my dog was all that bad. But now I'm wondering if I am one of those weird pet-obsessed people and everyone will think I'm nuts if I send a photo of the dog on our Christmas cards.

I just got our Christmas cards done with a picture of DH and I and a picture of our dog. I'm proud to be nuts :-)
Confession: DH's very elderly grandma is on her deathbed and after seeing her the other day I really hope she goes fast. She is so depressed and has lived a VERY long life. I can't understand why we put animals out of their misery, but can't do it for a woman over 100 who is ready to "meet God." I feel terrible for feeling this way, but I can't help it
Vent: DH is a franchisee and I can't stand the people at corporate. They are such a PITA. I feel like if I ever meet any of them I would like to spit on their shoes.
AW: I presented my idea for my clinical research project/doctoral dissertation yesterday and got very little feedback. I'm excited that my idea is approved, but seriously lack motivation to start writing the actual proposal.
Random: weather changes totally make my neck hurt. I felt the storm coming last night. I still find this fascinating because I never believed people who said they could feel the weather changes.
Confession: Nada
Vent: The kids at school were awful today, which I allowed to impact my mood.
We have to buy a new furnace because ours is slowly dying. I think this will put us in $10,000 worth of unexpected home repairs since September.
AW: I'm so crabby right now, I can't even think of anything.
Random: I loathe the sound of other people typing.
WTfudge? That is awful! I would definitely take your dog for a walk and snoop as much as you can without the cops getting called on you.
We have my dad's old snowblower. By old I mean older than me! It's the "Big Green Beast" and I think my dad would cry if it got stolen.
It had a cord that needed replacing (my dad was awesome, though he didn't always assemble things right) so we told our handy-fixes-everything-for-everyone neighbor, and he's going to keep an eye on them.
pretty sure they sold/are selling it on Craigslist though.
Confession: I love snow storms and was excited for this one, even though it took me an hour to get home from work.
AW: My sister finds out the sex of baby in a week! Her and her BF want a boy, but DH and I are secretly hoping for a girl;)
Vent: I'm so over this week and I'm glad it is the weekend.
my read shelf:
Vent: I pulled a muscle in my back over a week ago and it still hurts. I got a massage on Monday which felt great, but then I was sore for 2 days after. It finally felt better today but there's still some pain. I feel like I'm about 50 yrs old and I really hope this is not a recurring problem. I don't want to have back problems before I turn 30
AW: My H, my best friend, her H, and I are all going to Vegas in March and I'm super excited!
Confession: I feel like a single parent lately and I can't imagine having to do this on a daily basis. I'm drained and I feel like I'm not at 100% for my child.
*the reason I feel this way:
Vent: Our weekly perinatal visits to see if our fetus still has a heartbeat or if her chromosome issues have taken her life are so draining and knowing every weekend my hubby won't be home for emotional support because he drives 4 hours to Wisconsin to visit his dad dying of cancer is taking it's toll. But I can't lie in bed and wallow because I have the responsiblity of making sure the lovely child I already have is fed/healthy/happy.
Random: Watching Saving Private Ryan isn't really the mood booster I need but for the one night Josh is home, it's what he wanted to watch so I'll take it.

Confession: I finally unpacked my last box after moving. Yep, it's been a while, and it was the misc junk boxes. So I dreaded them for quite a while.
Vent: Do I look like I REALLY need ANOTHER $400 car repair RIGHT before the holidays?!?!
AW: I posted earlier this week on Kael's newborn pics!
Random: I am trying to get as much Christmas baking done as early as possible. It gets too crazy right before and our Christmas' this year are pretty spread out!
