I have decided...
My new years resolution is to once again try and stop smoking ( every time I try my jaw flares up so bad that I end up giving in. Stress makes me clinch my jaw and flares my TMJ) AND... I will be starting the C25K sometime between now and Wed. when I finish all my final exams.
So maybe I will be joining you ladies in a 5K one of these days 
Now I must go find a good pair of running shoes...
Re: I have decided...
Once upon a long time ago, my mom has/had TMJ and her dentist gave her some sort of mouth guard to wear @ night to prevent her from grinding her teeth and to prevent her jaw from locking up whatever happens.
Is TMJ something you could talk to a dentist/doctor about. Maybe they can help you find some relief for that, which might make quitting a little easier.
also, i have no experience in quitting smoking, so I don't really know if that would help, but maybe.
Good Luck with that.. MH is really super great @ quitting dipping, but he even better at starting again

Have you looked into Chantix? My H is on it right now and he's doing great! I've had some friends have great luck with it too.
